Brown Banded Roaches
The brown banded cockroach is another small roach about ½ inch long. It also has several nymphal stages and is smaller than the adults. It is distinguished by the two brown bands across the body. It prefers dryer warm areas than the German roach.
This roach can be introduced into the structure by suede furniture of appliances. Populations build up slowly - slower than the German roach - but can be widespread infestations.
Egg cases are smaller than German roaches and are often “glued” to the underside of cabinets, drawers and other places they may be hiding.
Look for these roaches around furniture; behind pictures on walls; under cabinet drawers; or along edges of appliances, TVs and computers.
