Argentine Ants
The Argentine ant (Linepithema humile) is an average size ant (1/8 -1/4 inch long), is brownish and has one node. It lives in huge colonies and forages in large numbers. Trails can be extremely long. They are generally found outside, but can enter the home or structure and nest inside. The larger ants in the foraging trails are queens.
